OpenOffice is free???!??! OMGZ
Today, I was greeted with this system tray notice from Sun: "Update Java Now... and get OpenOffice FREE!"
Seriously? That's how they're trying to convince me to get an update I don't want? By telling me that they'll include a bunch of free software... for free?
OpenOffice is great and everything, and I strongly recommend it to anyone who doesn't want to use MS Office on Windows. I use it with Ubuntu and on my iMac, but I can get it on my own. For free. Without Sun's desktop spam.
Sun, adware is generally obnoxious. I hope this isn't indicative of things to come from you. Please don't advertise things on my desktop. If I want to see ads and get adware installed on my machine, I'll open Internet Explorer.
